Many buyers and collectors out there will lower how much they pay you, just to sell it for a higher price. This part relies on who you wish to sell your geode to. Someone could be looking for an amethyst geode that was built or formed a certain way. Most buyers want a piece that sparkles and is not dull. The luster refers to the shine you see on the surface. The aesthetics are what truly matters and if the geode looks like it is about to split in two, it will be difficult to sell. Should the geode you find have many cracks and splits on the inside and out, you should expect to receive a small compensation. If it is a rare piece, even the smallest bit of the mineral could be worth somewhere in the hundreds. Depending on which geode you have, this factor may not work. The larger your geode is, the more valuable it is. Darker colored geodes are hard to come by and the amethyst and black calcite geodes can fetch a pretty penny. If the color of your geode is darker and richer you will see more value. How clear is the geode? Can you make out every speck inside? Or is the inside a bit murky and unclear? There are a few points on a collector or a buyer will use to determine the worth of a geode that include:ĭepending on the geode, the buyer will look for clarity. Unlike diamonds, geodes are not as cut and dry when it comes to pricing and putting a value on them. Either way, you are trying to discover how much your geodes are worth. A geode that has perfectly formed flawless crystals of bright color is the most valuable. ![]() Geodes’ price depends on a list of factors, which are the size, scarcity, color, clarity of crystals, their luster, and the presence of flaws. Patients who were transferred from another hospital were excluded in order to ensure availability of records related to initial evaluation and to exclude potential differential bias if transferred patients had different characteristics than those presenting directly to the ED for initial evaluation. We performed a prospective longitudinal observational study involving all patients with acute nontraumatic intracerebral hemorrhage who presented to the emergency departments (ED) of San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) or UCSF Medical Center from June 1, 2001, through May 31, 2004. In order to accomplish these aims, we conducted a prospective study of acute ICH patients who were then followed for outcome for 12 months. A final goal was to provide insight into the pace of recovery of ICH survivors, in order to assess the optimal time point during the first year for the purposes of outcome assessment. ![]() Given recent concerns that early care limitations such as early do-not-resuscitate orders or withdrawal of medical support may create self-fulfilling prophecies of poor outcome, 18–20 an additional aim was to determine whether this influenced the reliability of the ICH Score on risk stratification. The overall purpose of this study was to determine whether the ICH Score reliably stratifies patients with acute ICH with regard to 12-month functional outcome as assessed by the modified Rankin Scale (mRS). ![]() Just as the use of clinical grading scales has improved communication and consistency in other neurocritical care disorders such as acute ischemic stroke (NIH Stroke Scale), traumatic brain injury (Glasgow Coma Scale), and subarachnoid hemorrhage (Hunt/Hess and World Federation of Neurological Surgeons Scales), the availability of a validated reliable grading scale which is predictive of both early mortality and long-term functional outcome would likely improve consistency in ICH. Numerous observational studies have been performed to develop prediction models and scales for ICH outcome, 2,6,10–17 although few besides the ICH Score have been externally validated. Even so, there remains great interest in understanding and using outcome predictors for ICH. 7 However, the reliability of the ICH Score in stratifying patients regarding long-term functional outcome has not been systematically assessed.ĭespite several recent large clinical trials of medical or surgical interventions, 8,9 ICH remains without a treatment of proven benefit. The ICH Score has subsequently been externally validated in numerous other cohorts 2–6 and has been used as a stratification tool in a clinical trial of neuroprotection in order to improve balance of baseline characteristics. Outcome for development of the ICH Score was mortality at 30 days. 1 Comprised of factors related to age, initial level of consciousness, and neuroimaging findings, the ICH Score was initially developed to provide a simple, reliable way of stratifying outcome early after acute ICH for the purpose of improving communication for clinical care and clinical research. ![]() The ICH Score is the most commonly used clinical grading scale for outcome after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). ![]() Jonathan Woetzel, an MGI director and senior partner in Shanghai Olivia White, an MGI director and senior partner in San Francisco Aditya Sanghvi, a McKinsey senior partner in New York City Rob Palter, a McKinsey senior partner in Toronto André Dua, a McKinsey senior partner in Miami and Sven Smit, a McKinsey senior partner in Amsterdam and MGI chairman. The behavioral shifts have already had major effects on real estate in “superstar” cities-roughly speaking, cities with a disproportionate share of the world’s urban GDP and GDP growth. Others persist, particularly among office employees continuing to engage in hybrid work (that is, a combination of remote and in-office work). In recent months, some of those behavioral shifts have slowed. And now that fewer of them were working and living near urban stores, fewer of them shopped there. Many of those employees, newly freed from their daily commutes, chose to move out of urban cores. Obeying lockdowns and office closures, tired of uncomfortable masks, and enabled by remote-work technology, many employees abruptly retreated from traditional offices to home offices. The starkest change was where and how they worked. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, it dramatically changed the way people worked, lived, and shopped in cities around the world. Priorities might include developing mixed-use neighborhoods, constructing more adaptable buildings, and designing multiuse office and retail space.

The star rating system for hash can be a handy guide when it comes to selecting quality solventless concentrates. Much of the higher end rosin offerings will use full-melt hash as their starting material. Some people argue rosin could be considered full-melt hash if it melts on contact and leaves no charred plant matter behind, however, the term full-melt is intended to distinguish unpressed hash (resin) that is free of plant matter. Rosin is the resulting product of heat and pressure application from bubble hash. To be successful, the process requires premium starting material (certain cultivars have higher success rates) as well as careful extraction techniques. It is important to note that full-melt is not an easy or even guaranteed product to extract. When heated in a nail or banger, full-melt will remain light in color and puddle up as the membranes of the trichome heads are broken down, combining together into one resinous “puddle.” There should be no plant residue once Q-tipped.
